The Best Interior Low-Sheen - Painters Choice Award
Ok, I've had enough!
Every paint manufacturer reckons their paint is the best. They spend millions of dollars in advertising to convince us their paint is the best, the most washable, the least toxic, the easiest to use, has the best hiding power, the best value for money etc. Every painter thinks he knows which paint is the best. There is only one way to settle this once and for all . . .by a poll of painters!
Finally, I want to hear it straight from the people who use the stuff every day! So, here is your chance to have your say, the 'painters choice'. Think about which paint you really think is the best. Remember, its 'the best', not the cheapest! I don't want you to vote for a brand because the rep gave you a t-shirt; I want to know which one performs the best over all. Think about ease of application, washability, opacity, sheen level, and consistency. You only get one vote, so make it count

Wow the post just keep pounding in... what an overwhelming response!
I guess that from little things big things grow, this forum might get bigger if we keep supporting it.

Resene Spacecote is the best I have ever used.
The flat and low sheens are smooth to apply, cover well and are very washable.
You need to use an appropriate roller to get the best results.

i like taubmans endure, creamy to apply, covers very well, very washable and the colour tints the same every time. i also have started using haymes ultra premium range very good product alot better then dulux.
i found dulux flat and low sheen paints have got worse over the years, i don't use them anymore.

I find wash and wear quite good.
RockCote ecostyle is a great product, however it seems to be rather inconsistent, and I have had a few brand new drums now that needed to be strained before use because there was that much crap in it. I have also only ever once had problems with 'framing' and this was with EcoStyle, not a reason to dislike it, it could have been another reason, however it did 'put me off'.
For a while I was using all Luxury paints products. I find the opacity and coverage of Silk as good as Wash and Wear. In my own house I painted the whole interior with Silk and 18 months on with my fiance 2 kids two large dogs and two cats, the washability and scuff resistance seems to be holding up.
At work we now only use Dulux products from Acra-Tex, Decorative, and Protective Coatings. The ability to buy almost all of our products from one store and have it all delivered can not be discounted. The new Next Generation Roof Membrane is the best I have used. Previously I have used ShieldCoat, RockCote, Nutech and the old Acra-Tex 962.
